This toolkit was developed through a youth informed group concept mapping process involving a diverse group of youth ages 16-21 across the U.S. This led to the creation of these five principles aimed at promoting shared power and voice between adults and youth participating in sexual and reproductive health programs. The toolkit additionally dives into applying these principles while working in difficult environments and translating theory around youth engagement into action.
