Making Proud Choices
This 8-module curriculum:
Provides young adolescents with the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to reduce their risk of HIV, other STDs and pregnancy by abstaining from sex or using condoms if they choose to have sex
Stresses the role of sexual responsibility and accountability, and teaches participants to make responsible decisions regarding their sexual behavior and respect themselves and others
Meets the Office of Adolescent Health's effectiveness criteria for impacting rates of teen pregnancy, STDs or sexual risk behaviors
Also available in a 14-module School Edition designed to fit a school schedule, and in a 10-module adaptation for youth in out-of-home care
New California Edition includes adaptations to align with the California Healthy Youth Act
