Adolescence is an important time in a young person’s life for development.

However, the teen years are all about learning how to adapt and respond to new experiences, life skills, and making good decisions. ETR is known for our variety of teen-focused resources, which are often used in classrooms, clinics, and health centers.

As a non-profit advancing health equity, we also work to meet parents and caregivers where they are by offering items for those outside of those educational health settings. We’re dedicated to creating tools for those who are seeking expertise from a trusted, science-informed source.

According to a 2023 study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vaping is still prevalent amongst youth. One out of every 22 middle school students, and one of every 10 high school students, reported that they had used electronic cigarettes in the past 30 days. Those statics can be unsettling, but it’s a reminder to show the importance of having these difficult conversations with teens.

For more information, check out our on-demand 3 in 30 webinar, “How to Talk with Teens About Vaping.” Learn three actionable tips in 30 minutes from our guest expert Meredith Berkman, co-founder of PAVe (Parents Against Vaping E-cigarettes).

PAVe is an advocacy and education nonprofit created in 2018 by three moms as a grassroots response to the youth vaping epidemic. Apply these tips to your role as a parent, caregiver, educator, public health professional, or clinical staff member.
